The Church in the Olmo di Riccio district of Lanciano was built thanks to the bequest of Don Giuseppe Maiella, who in 1968 donated his assets to support its construction. Designed to serve the growing population of the area, works began in 1984 and were completed in 1989, with its consecration taking place in 1990. The church features a modern trapezoidal design with wide interior spaces lit by large windows. It houses a large image of the Sacred Heart above the main altar. The bell tower, separated from the main structure, includes a grotto dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes.
