The church also houses an 18th century baroque organ, lateral altarpieces and a museum in the sacristy that exhibits liturgical pieces and paintings.

Church dedicated to San Leonardo and close to the city of Avila with an interesting stone “guardian” at the door.
The humilladero de Los Cuatro Postes, in Avila, is a monument of great symbolic and religious value, composed of four five-meter-high Doric columns supporting a granite cross in its center. From this point, known for its impressive view of the wall of Avila, you can see the city in its entirety, especially spectacular at sunset.
In addition, the monument is surrounded by stories and legends. One of them, associated with the year 1157, tells how the city suffered an assault during a pilgrimage that had left it unprotected. The inhabitants of Avila, after recovering the loot, erected this shrine to commemorate the event and remember the importance of unity in difficult times. Another legend tells how the young Teresa of Jesus and her brother Rodrigo were arrested in their adventure to travel to Muslim lands to die as martyrs, marking this site as a special place in the life of the saint.
